Farmers from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are marching towards Delhi to make this movement bigger.
However, the central and state governments have also made their preparations. Fortifications have been made on every border with Delhi. To prevent farmers from entering Delhi, thousands of police personnel, drones and barbed wire fencing along with barricading are also being used. Singhu Border – Farmers from Haryana enter Delhi from this border. This is the border where during the first farmers movement, farmers of Punjab and Haryana were sitting on strike for almost a year. This is the reason why this time a large number of security forces are being seen on this border. Drones are being used to keep an eye on this border.
Tikri Border- This border is in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. From here farmers from Haryana and Punjab enter Delhi. During the farmers’ movement, it is being counted as one of the most sensitive borders. This is the reason why 5 layer security has been arranged here. Apart from this, strong fortification has been done on this border, so that the farmers of Haryana are not able to enter Delhi.
Jonti Border- During the first farmers movement, farmers from Haryana had entered Delhi from here. This time also the security arrangements are tight here. Apart from this, security is also tight at Safiabad Border, Sonia Vihar Border, Kalandi Kunj and DND. The police is making every effort to stop the agitating farmers from everywhere from entering Delhi.
Ghazipur border- This border is in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. From here, farmers from Uttar Pradesh are trying to enter Delhi. This border was also much discussed during the earlier farmers’ movement.
Auchandi Border- From here also farmers of Haryana enter Delhi. This is the reason why tight security arrangements have been made on this border also.
Loni Border- This border falls in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. From here, farmers from Uttar Pradesh, especially Western UP, enter Delhi.
Chilla Border- Chilla DND border is used by people going from Noida to Delhi. But now farmers of UP can also use it to reach Delhi. This is the reason why the police security here too is tight.
